honk.
had another topic, didnt feel like bumping it, didnt feelign like editing it. /lazyass
as mentioned in the other topic on page 15 or so, me, and my two good friends Ian and Grant are probably the only 3 guys in school who listen to music that isnt country, rap, screamo, or pop. we listen to older music from the 90s to today. old Green Day albums, Offspring from when they were good (90s), Sum 41, Blink-182, all that kind of stuff. we all play instruments; Grant has played drums since 5th grade, me and Ian have played guitar for about two years (Ian has played for about half a year long than me, actually, but Im better than him at alot of songs due to the fact I dont play songs on guitar for other people unless I have it near perfect), so we decided to start a band. mainly punk. the band name was originally gonna be Dry Ice. I didnt like the name, and there's already a band named Dry-Ice and they have an album or two released (according to Grant's guitar-god dad), so we talked about it today at recess, and we came up with Only Of You.
anyway, we spent all of last weekend at Grant's house starting everything up and having our first practices and planning going. we sound great so far. we already have our first performance planned at Tavern In The Forest, a small-time local restaurant/bar-type thing. we're planning on playing there this Sunday or next weekend sometime. me and Ian both play guitar, but I can play bass great too, so Ill be playing bass for Longview (Green Day), and possibly singing too. we'll have videos of us playing, so I'll probably post them here (yes I dont care what you guys say about what I look like, I could care less, it's the music you pay attention to). me and Ian havnt chosen a lead guitarist, and wont at all since we switch it up.
tl;dr the only 3 guys in our school that listen to REAL, ACTUAL MUSIC started a band called Dry Ice, changed it to Only Of You, and we're getting great progress so far.
