loving HELP ME WITH MY ALGEBRA HOMEWORKS SO I DONT FAIL PLEASE.
I'M CONFUSED AND I LEARNED NONE OF THIS LAST YEAR.
Help will be appreciated :c

Problem 1:

Simplify each algebraic expression below, if possible. If not possible state why.

a:  3y+2y+y^2+5+y
b:  3y^2+2xy+1+3x+y+2x^2
c:  3xy+5x+2+3y+x+4
d:  4m+2mn+m^2+m+3m^2

I could help, but I dont know what the ^ means

1. y^2+6y+5

I could help, but I dont know what the ^ means
y^2 = y2

1. y^2+6y+5
If this is correct i will love you forever.

I could help, but I dont know what the ^ means
the number after the ^ is an exponent

whattheforget Algebra is pretty easy.

not when you didn't learn it when you were in middle school :C

When you first start it and your teacher doesnt teach it very well its not.

I think ^ means the number after is an exponent.

what are you, 12?
i learned this stuff in 8th grade, come on man

lol, I'm a good person, not gonna cheat for you.
But the ^2 means squared, so 5^2 would be 52.  do [ sup ]BLABLA[ /sup ] (just w/o spaces.)

It's just simplifying it.

Combine like terms and put together certain parts, like "2y+2y" should be "4y".

I didnt.
Give him a break. I dont even know how to do this stuff.

My teacher just handed us a book and made us start doing problems.
I think he's a serial killer.

I'm 15 and i didnt  ;_;

Someone do my homework.   Write an equation in slope intercept formfor the line that passes through (-5,1) and (1,-1).
