Author Topic: Remembering 9/11 - Today, we remember.  (Read 29426 times)

How.
Because this thread was made about 2 days ago, and the new topics that is related to this thread was made like yesterday and today, you really need to watch the times that has been posted.

I know it was bad but on this day the forums fill up with 9/11 topics, TV is filled with 9/11 documentaries and I CANNOT loving MOVE WITHOUT THE SLIGHTEST REFERANCE TO 9/11!
NOR CAN I POST DUE TO PEOPLE CONSTATNLY REPLYING.
I've seen worse, I remembered on the beginning of May, when Osama got killed, everyone dedicated to stuffpost on the off topic section with "Osama is dead" it was about 14 threads.

wizzeh this thread has no need for your intolerable atheist views. let these people mourn, stop being a bother
Is it really morning when probably everyone in here didn't have any relevtives/friends anywhere near the towers at the time of the attack?
If you wanna morn random people, there's plenty of other oppertunities.
Seriously, more people probably die of hunger each week than died because of that attack.

probably everyone in here didn't have any relevtives/friends anywhere near the towers at the time of the attack?
I did and my friends did

my uncle died on flight 11

Every year all of america comes together to cry and it's extremely annoying to the rest of the world.

I did and my friends did

And you're being the least annoying of everyone.

my uncle died on flight 11

So grieve privately?

And you're being the least annoying of everyone.
I personally thought that I was being the most annoying

guys

posting about mourning on the Blockland Forums does not count as mourning

go hump a grave or something

Well now they aren't Americans are they? How does it annoy them when they aren't even there?

Did you know, that in 2009, roughly 70 americans died from terrorism? When roughly 45000 died from coronary heart disease? And the funds to combat terrorists were 6000 time more than to combat heart disease?

So grieve privately?
that's what I was doing?

seems like you're attacking anyone who feels sad here

"Literally the opinion of the rest of the world."

Okay, so then I guess you've visited every part of the rest of the world and asked their view on this matter.  You also watch every foreign news outlet simultaneously.

"The surveillance state you've created in response..."

I wasn't aware I was the supreme emperor of North America.  Those who actually believe that their personal lives are regularly invaded in response to 9/11 security measures wear tin foil hats on their head.  You've never been phone-tapped, you've never been detained under suspicion of treason, you've never been monitored by some outside government source for posting on a message board.

Either way, I'm going to stop posting because this argument is not one which can be won.  Both sides are too sure in their convictions.  I just wanted you to know how ridiculous you sound to assume that we should as a country stop remembering what happened simply based on the assertion that "it's getting old."

instead of no fun allowed it's only fun allowed

You can be searched and arrested without a warrant under the accusation of terrorism. Read the patriot act that was passed months later.

You know there's globalization now, right?

"Post on a forum" is not how you grieve privately. That isn't how anyone copes.

Unlike you, I have a pretty good understanding of foreign opinion.

No, because I don't live in America. The fact is that your government has used 9/11 as an excuse to allow all of those things.
