Author Topic: Remembering 9/11 - Today, we remember.  (Read 29589 times)

I'm pretty sure it would've been a huge loving deal and remembered to this day even if it was just normal everyday pilots. But the government did totally take advantage of the situation, and that's sickening.

I think it's only whined about to this extent because New York is the centre of the universe. The sun revolves around New York City. If this same thing happened in Anchorage it would've blown over in a year or so.

~320,000 people died in the Haiti earthquake last year. ~220,000 died in the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004. When was the last time the media said a word about those disasters? Compare that to 9/11, which had just under a miniscule 3000 casualties.

I'm not saying 9/11 wasn't a bad day, but it was 10 years ago. People have gotten over other terrorist attacks, disasters, etc. Why can't New York?

i wonder if the new york jets will win. :cookieMonster:

9/11 Jokes aint Funny... 6 Muslims Died here :'(

It wouldn't have been remembered to this day (at least to this extent) because the blame would be on americans and not on foreign terrorists.

You guys are focusing to much on the fact that terrorists were the one's who did it and not on the fact that it was the loving twin towers.

I was just thinking about this.
Escape parachute's On the High floors. Fire > Break Glass/Move to roof > Jump down.
Of course they will need practice lessons.

Let's see... I was 4 when it happened... I was living in Europe.
I can only imagine how I spent the evening watching television with my parents.

What's with all the haters in this thread? Deal with it friends. We have remembered it for ten years. We will remember for ten more. It was an attack on the United States by Osama Bin Laden. Yes, Bush exaggerated the situation a little bit, but the fact is, the event happened, it was an attack, and Osama said it was all of his doing. Get over it cigarettes, we like to actually remember sad/important events in our history instead of just ignoring them like they never happened. God, why do you even post here if all youre going to post is hate spam? Just stop.

To be honest people will remember 9/11 more than the pearl harbor bombing since, unlike the bombing, there's footage of 9/11

humans do not know how to block out their emotions, so it will just keep coming back around.
this is also why we are inferior to some animal species.

I am sorry but no. Sheer intelligence alone makes humans the apex of evolution.
