Author Topic: Stopping DDoS attacks  (Read 765 times)

I've started being DDoSed when I opened a server.
How do I stop incoming packets from the IP?

(the attacker's IP is dynamic)

i doubt this is blockland-related at all

I got assistance on setting up a server in Blockland. This has put my computer in danger and now I need help.

But i thought it wasn't dangerous to host a server...

How do you know that it's a DDoS?

Everyone who opens the server list pings your computer. Every time you open the server list you ping all of those computers.

Noedit: They ping your computer only if you are hosting.

You could just put the server down...

Still, even if the server is down, I keep receiving a lot of packets.

I don't need anything.
My internet is constantly going down and I have contacted my ISP and they said that an IP is flooding me and that they can't do nothing about it because the IP is dynamic.

Close the ports?

I'm not sure what it is, but I can tell you it's certainly not a DDoS attack.
There's simply no incentive for someone to go through the work to attack you.

Does your modem or router have any sort of logs for this type of stuff?
