Before you say "OMG PUT THIS IN ONE THREAD DURRR" just a heads up, this is discussing a lot about Youtube, so i put this in off-topic and in it's own respective thread.
Seen the huge rise of youtube videos and channels that attempt to use
BIG BOLD TEXT in their thumbnails to throttle your attention? with
EXCITING Thumbnails with
BIG BOLD TEXT

It's like Ray William Johnson and the SHAYTARDS all over again, isn't it?

And my problem with these? It's like they deseperately need you to click them, if you do click them, you are greeted with "FAVORITE THIS PLEASE" "LIKE THIS PLEASE" "SUBSCRIBE TO ME PLEASE" and a huge wall of Facebook/twitter links.
Some even don't even try anymore, the favorites system is for when you loved a video, now when the owner told you to use it.

And these are usually the
Most popular videos for minecraft, which seems unfair to me since there are a lot of people out there who have talent in making videos, who don't use marketing ploys like these but are left out in the cold.
And for the videos themselves...
They usually fall into these categories.
WOW I'M SO loving GENIUS I MADE A SONG PARODY ABOUT MINECRAFT, NOBODY'S DONE IT BEFORE!THE ADVENTURES OF[Group name here]
IN MINECRAFTLET'S PLAY MINECRAFT - FOR THE 100TH TIMEGUYS PLAY MINECRAFT TOTALLY NOT EVERYONE PLAYS IT IT'S UNDERRATED AND UNDERHYPED NOW FAVORITE ME PLEASE A generic music video. And don't get me wrong, i know there are still the other half of Minecraft videos that don't these at all, but be honest, who ever actually finds that in their front page anymore?
Back in 2009 Minecraft videos were rare to find and were basic but enjoyable.
In 2010, it started getting more popular, more videos turned up and then Robin Walker blew the trigger by putting Minecraft on the TF2 blog, later in the year, everything started getting a bit overhyped.
Now, in 2011, it's like a huge bloated, overhyped pig that has cancer and wants to die, the videos just got more and more unoriginal but tacked on
BIG BOLD TEXT , techno music, live action acting, guest starts, and whatever just to milk the views.
tl;dr
