Author Topic: forget AMD (Driver related issue)  (Read 1855 times)

So, it became apparent to me that I needed to update my drivers, because I never have since buying my computer, and a few games just don't work because they cannot render or some stuff.

So, I go to AMD's website, get the auto-detect thing to update my card, and BOOM!

The exact opposite of what I needed happened. Bye bye drivers. So, out of fear of loving up my computer, and the fact AMD's website is a big humble jumble of stuff that confuses me, I need your guys' help.

My card is a Radeon HD 5450. I cannot find the drivers for the life of me. :c

noo nooo cannot help is siesta time senor

According to AMD, I have the latest drivers installed.
forget yes, so now all I cannot do is play all the games I wish.

"lololo tats wat u get 4 bying cheapp amd shiett insted ov godly nvidea lolol poorcigarette"

So, did the drivers get removed, or are they still installed?

Roll Back your drivers and, Yeah.

AMD is not a bad product at all

rollback your drivers and see if that works.

They got completely wiped, but I think I found the right thing to download.

Also, can't rollback because am stupid.

$10 says you did something wrong somewhere

do you have the installation CD for your drivers

don't you use steam?
:l
they support AMD's cards, so it has automatic update thingies.

do you have the installation CD for your drivers
Uh no. The updated drivers (at the time) were installed at the factory.
So no CD.

$10 says you did something wrong somewhere
Then you win $10.

don't you use steam?

All that does is detect your manufacturer and link you to their driver page.

Turns out, I just needed to reboot my computer. :/

Thanks anways. :3

Nvidia drivers automatically just quickly disable your graphics card and then restart it, removing the need for a restart.

Why doesn't AMD do that :(

Ugh I hate my 5450.  My CCC wont update so I'm stuck with massive aliasing.
