I've been having a hard time getting in the swing of things with basic jobs now that I'm 16. I got a job at a local pizza chain, Happy Joe's. I got hired like mid-July and have been working there ever since, though hardly. They say I'm in training for three months, which is fine, but then they give me these half ass hours - I worked Tuesday this week from 3:30 to 5 and was supposed to work today from 2 to 4 but they called just now and said I can take the day off, so I logged a whopping hour and a half this week. That is the biggest load of ass I have ever heard - I also haven't gotten paid since the pay period of 7/31 to 8/13 and even that was only $15.
I've been working no more than six hours two days a week making $7.50 with nothing to show for it. I'm not even cut out for the job. I'm considering quitting and looking elsewhere.
What to do? My dad encourages me to find another, even my boss at the truck wash I work at (which I make more money at by far even only working weekends!) says it sounds a bit stupid.
