Connection Problems

Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

It pisses me off, anyone else have this problem?

it happens all the time, no need to make a topic

The server is busy.

It's not that hard to understand.

Actually, it's happening quite a bit more than usual, so I'd say it warrants a topic.

I'm getting it as well, must be SMF doing the occasional forget up.

I get it from time-to-time, I just go do something else.

It's just an intermittent problem. It usually happens late at night for me, but this on-and-off bit is new. It seems it can't connect to the avatar database either, so it's breaking people's avatars.

Ctrl F5 helps fix this problem.

Has been happening more often for me. :o

i haven't gotten it at all so far today?

Ctrl F5 helps fix this problem.

F5: Refresh
Ctrl + F5: Refresh HARDER

the forget

F5: Refresh
Ctrl + F5: Refresh HARDER

the forget
I think F5 just reloads and also retrieves the same stuff from the cache I think, while Ctrl+F5 forces Chrome to say "forget you" to the cache and retrieve the images again and store those into the cache instead of the old ones.
