Author Topic: Chrono is mildly upset...  (Read 2991 times)

I think I accidentally broke the last remaining ball mouse (that has a wheel) left in existence.

I must repair it! These laser mouses are hardly reliable.

This is not mine but this is what it looks like.

I still have a working one.

whachu talkin bout

Laser mice are a lot more reliable. They also come in the wireless variety now.

What is this, 1995? Get with the times, gramps. Lasers are the future, and the future is now!

Wireless is even less reliable. They can die.

Never.

Wireless is even less reliable. They can die.
Yeah but they don't have cords or balls that can fall out or get stuck. I like being able to start digging a hole in minecraft and walk into another room with the hole being finished as I walk.

I have never had a cord or ball fall out, ever. I've also never either get stuck. I have, however, in the middle of a more faster paced game, had a mouse battery die.
I also don't play any game where I can just hold the left mouse button to accomplish something. Otherwise I could easily set up some kind of macro program to do it.

1: We have that exact model I believe.
2: The ball mouses are the unreliable ones. The ball starts getting all shoved in and stops detecting correctly, things falls apart, it's heavy and crap. Ever since we got laser mice, we have been so loving happy not to buy a replacement every few weeks.

Well, if you want to dig straight down in Minecraft, I think that's the most efficient way. And MC is a known great game, just look at how many pages its topic has.

And like megaScience said, they don't fall apart that easily.

I've never had any of these problems. I'm having a problem with the circuit board, which can happen on any mouse.

And like megaScience said, they don't fall apart that easily.
Falling apart isn't what I'm concerned about.

I have like 20 where I work, all donors.

These mouses are extremely common still. You could easily pay a few dollars for a second hand one or several dollars for a new ball mouse.

I absolutely freaking HATE ball mouses. Three years ago all our mouses at school got jammed up (the ball wouldn't roll properly) and everyone was constantly struggling with them every day until we got laser mouses two months after that.
