i changed the download link, it should be  a zip that has texture files model and milkshape save

If it's an MS3D then he must have gave you the wrong file. It has to be a .dts with the script and everything.

He gave me the .dts file, the textures, and a .ms3d file.

In that case, .MS3D files are used in MilkShape. So if you have MilkShape you can just open the file directly and edit it.
