the elevator used to be broken as all forget, and if your ping was over 40 ms, you would fall through the floor of said broken-as-all-forget elevator to your death.

I remember one time when I fell through almost right after it had started elevating, I survived the fall and was stuck at the bottom of the shaft with no way to get up to the top.
