Author Topic: *Update Page 2*Airshow Crash.  (Read 2017 times)

Today there was ANOTHER air show crash in West Virgina. This crash only killed the pilot, but its the second crash within 24 hours. Both planes were from the 1940's-1950's. Im thinking that they should stop using these in airshows. Also, the death toll in Reno rose to 9.

Thoughts and prayers to the people who died and everyone affected :(

hey forget off

it was a problem with the trim tab on the plane, not the pilot. infact he pulled up near the end so he'd miss the bleachers, sadly he didn't pull up enough to miss the people on the ground

but atleast only 9 people died, instead of 300+.

In the one in West Virginia, only the pilot died. I believe it was mechanical failures.

Look at the destroyed bleachers.
Oh wait. THERE ARE loving NONE.

People who can't notice obvious details are stupid.
Plastic chairs =/= grandstands/bleachers/highschool love place

Don't planes have to go through quite the inspections before actually flying? I'm surprised to mechanical error was seen.

Actually, yes. But these recent crashes have got me thinking that these planes should probably be retired. They're deathtraps. But he may have stressed the plane too much, causing the structure to fail. Those planes aren't as new as they used to be.

It always seems at airshows, somebody dies.

yup totally never a mechanical failure, they just let inexperienced morons fly a multi-thousand dollar machine around large groups of people
