Could you help me solve that out. Quit hard to understand.
There are two formulas for a ball being thrown straight up:
One for finding times that a ball is at a specific height: H=at²+bt+cH is the height for which you are finding the times.
a is 1/2 of gravity
t is the time (you are trying to find that)
b is the initial velocity
c is the initial height
The one for finding the time of the vertex (highest point): -b/2a=tRefer to the first formula for a and b.
Plug in the time from this formula into the first formula in order to get the height of the vertex.
