I laughed harder than I should have.
But when did a pony show become rebellious? It doesn't exactly scream defiant does it?
Rebellion, in its basic concept, is merely pushing against a given norm usually in search for individuality. That is, you're expected to wear dress pants, you wear jeans. Your parents are pious Christians, you are a militant Atheist. Society expects boys and girls (Or children and teens, etc.) to have two, separate roles and identities, you cross over the line set. Of course, this isn't always the case, and none of the latter examples reflect the group they belong to at all (That is, not all teens, militant Atheists, and MLP viewers are rebels). But rebellious teens may fit any of those given examples. [/Internetpsychologistsarethebest] (I keep using [/insertcommenthere] a lot. :c)
I really just wanted to fill my bitterness quota, though, and my comment really just applies to maybe a handful of people who watch the show. Some may talk about it just for the laughs of the general reversal of expectations, but most watch it because they actually like the show (And/or have been brainwashed into liking the show. I have people looking into that angle).
