Author Topic: Have you ever wondered what happened to Hey Arnold's parents?  (Read 13181 times)

At the end of the episode 'journal' Arnold finds a map which his parents last drew. So this obviously means that he plans to go search for his parents. They were going to do a second Hey Arnold movie but it never got finished. It didn't get finished because Craig Bartlett (creator of Hey Arnold) wanted to do a cartoon called "Party Wagon" for cartoon network and part of his contract stated that he can only make cartoons for Nickelodeon. So he leaves Nickelodeon and then he goes off to create Party Wagon.

Guess what happens after that, Party Wagon becomes scrapped after the one pilot made and no one ever hears about Hey Arnold again.

I think they were kidnapped, or something like that

I think they were kidnapped, or something like that

They go into a diseased infested village where hundreds have died.

There's your answer.

I still find it bullstuff how the creator leaves the show to create a new show and he didn't get anywhere with the new one.

It just seems like a waste of a perfectly good proper series finale.

Hey Arnold and the other 90's Nick shows owned. I've always wondered about his parents, they seemed like badasses.

If you ever played Uncharted you will notice Arnold's parents are very similar to Nathan Drake and Elena.

Lol

I loved this show.

They probably in some russian mafia.

After leaving Arnold on his grandparent's doorstep, his parents went to Myanmar(the endpoint of Arnold's map) and constructed a space-faring vessel capable of faster-than-light speeds and sustaining human life aboard it for up to one hundred and twenty years.
In a twist much like the pilot of Thundercats, his parents crashed on a faraway alien planet twelve years after taking off, and the cryostasis pods in which they slept malfunctioned and released them from their slumber.
After an brief exploration, the adventurers discovered the planet was not only able to sustain human life, but it was inhabited by two rivaling species locked in a brutal and unending war: the anarchic, liberalist Dubaku, and the zealous, totalitarian K'Gosi.
Arnold's parents joined the Dubaku military, and they've been battling the K'Gosi ever since.

Nah, they just got AIDS.

Holy crap, I never thought about this.

Oh yea I saw that when I was like 5. That episode made me cry. I think they got in a plane crash.

That solution isn't simple enough.
It has to be

I used to like this show.

His mother was a prostitue who died of the HIV/AIDS the rapist dad gave to her.
Arnold then dies of HIV/AIDS.
Yay.
