Author Topic: BMX bikes, which choose.  (Read 755 times)

Well to be honest theres not a huge differance other than weight and crank size, so the question is do you want a lighter bike with a smaller crank, the silkon 11' (My choice, the lighter bike is always the best choice when they are this close, and crank size isnt a big deal) or a slightly heavier bike with a large crank size, the 20 11'.

Really either bike you choose will be great its wheather or not you want to spend the money. hard decision.
Or you could just buy a lovey DH or DJ! XD (Covebike.com, http://yeticycles.com/#/bikes/, and lovey http://www.commencal.com/web/)

ASDSDAGSKJGB HOW DID I MISS THIS THREAD
anyways, go with the Cygnus. I was going to get one for a dope price but the guy already sold it to someone. I was juuuust too late. ]:
Main points for me:
-Cygnus weighs less
-Cygnus has smaller gears
-Siklon also conveniently doesn't list types of material the frame is made out of**

random but I'm getting a DK General  Lee soon. for $40. been ridden 3 times. it's orange. can't loving wait haha

Also after looking at them over and over, all I really notice is the Siklon has larger gears. That's, if anything, just gonna be a pain in the ass. Doesn't even have a gyro; don't waste the extra $60 on the Siklon. Also Cygnus in orange/wheat looks lovey as forget; it'll match your shoes.. if you have brown shoes. hahaha

One last thing, I'm a cheap-ass so if you really don't care about the extra money.. well you might as well go for it. I'm not going to check every single part in detail. DK's a good brand, you never know, it might be worth the extra. But the Cygnus is DEFINITELY a good bike, don't worry about buying that one if you don't want to spend the extra cash.

Woo. I misread the prices. ANYWAYS. Okay, so. in that case. Get the Cygnus. Because with all of those features, it's worth the extra $60. It'll last you. It's lovey. Just get that one. hahaha

The Siklon is :
100% Chromoly Frame
100% Chromoly Forks

I might just buy that and customize the bike to hell.
Just so I could get a cheaper bike and I would probably just but the Siklon, but if I have extra money I might buy the Cygnus
But I still need :
Helmet
Gloves
DK Hat :I

Good point but with a GOOD new sprocket and a 9t driver (same as Cygnus,) you'll be spending over $60. And trust me, I ride a 100% hi-ten steel frame. It makes very little difference, and that little bit of extra weight will be good for when you've saved up to get a new frame, if you even want a new frame, which you might not.
Also I'm getting one of these to match my bike. Gold is the stuff bro.

Looked fine until 'Weight: 27 lbs'
you could always check out United Bike Co, too. They have some nice stuff. I used to have a Recruit RN1 but it got stolen from me (it was purple. soooo forgetin lovey.)
