Author Topic: Alternatives to gyazo's "x(" - gyazo is Eksi's girlfriend lol.  (Read 7597 times)

just so we're clear,

http://gyazo.com/en

that is gyazo, people used it to instantly take screenshots of their screen, have it uploaded and copied to their clipboard

it is not a generic hosting site like imageshack or photobucket, so just throw those the forget out of the window

if you're looking for an alternative to that, see localhostruploadr.

yeah we all know the stuffty bandwith sadface thingy that pops up after like twelve seconds

http://imgur.com/tools/

using these won't give you that problem.

i'm using hyperdesktop and it's pretty much the same thing except a screen comes up to where you can draw on it and stuff so you don't have to save it and go into an image editor and so it doesn't accidentally upload something you didn't mean to take a picture of. the download is on the page i linked and it's to an exe file, there's a page for it here.

for uploading images, localhostruploadr is a great alternative as well.

YorkTown95 approves this thread.

Or maybe you could use something more sensible like Imgur or Imageshack.

you don't even know what the forget gyazo is do you

It can instantly screenshot

Which you can also do with the Print Screen button.

I have the general idea.
then you'd know that something like that isn't anything near what I'm talking about

print-screening and then cropping and then uploading takes too long in some people's eyes. it's easier to just click an icon or press a hotkey and take a portion of your screen and have it instantly upload it and copy the link to your clipboard

Every image hosting site except for Ploader and if you're so inclined to use it that way Dropbox suck huge ass, I'm tired of having to click your stupid images to view a bigger version for every picture.

Print screen doesn't automatically upload the picture you took to the internet, and it only takes a shot of the ENTIRE screen.

i used hyperdesktop and it worked fine.

now it fails to upload the images i take.

still using gyazo at the moment

And then you can edit it with paint or such to get a specific section of it.

Which takes more time. Yes I know it's loving possible to do otherwise but it is so much quicker to just open a program and select what you want and have the computer do the rest.
