Haha, well, I figured you don't have to pay taxes to have an opinion on them.
I filed taxes last year but I made so little that I paid nothing. This year I actually did pay taxes but I don't remember what I paid to date since I haven't checked my last pay stub. I only worked half the year though so I think they'll only be a couple hundred dollars. In any case I don't pay a lot, and it automatically comes out of my pay check anyway so I don't consider it money I actually earned and it doesn't bother me that I don't have it. Property taxes do suck, but I don't plan on owning property for a while.
I also pay sales taxes and gas taxes, obviously. I'm sure many people here have paid sales tax and can therefore technically call themselves a tax payer, even if it's not what we typically mean by a tax payer, meaning someone who pays federal income tax.
