After watching a news story about payday loans with ungodly interest rates (can you say 417% interest rate?) the news crew found out it was all linked to indian tribes, all of which refused to talk to the reporters. There was also that episode of South Park where the indians wanted to demolish the town and build a 16 lane highway to their casino, and I was wondering why people talk about and make jokes about stuff like this all the time, anyone know?

No, every single one of those incredible interest rates were charged by companies owned by indian tribes.

and whats wrong with that? you seem to be implying its bad; in relation to them being indian.
all cc and loans have stuffty interest rates.

Oh and it's not our fault they don't have western medicine. Twigs and berries aren't going to cure that smallpox.

They died quickly from smallpox because it was a European disease until it was carried across the ocean. Europeans had built up some resistance to it but to the Native Americans it was incredibly new and their bodies had a really tough time trying to create antibodies for it.
