Author Topic: I'm having very odd problems with uTorrent.  (Read 1152 times)

On everything I try to download, the little speed counter starts at about .01 kb/s.
It slowly crawls up, but it crawls up so slow, that 45 minutes later, I'm only cruising at 145 kb/s, about a third of my max dl speed. I don't know if it's the harsh windstorm here, but it's strange. It's never happened before.

So, I was curious is anyone else is suffering from this.

Isn't talking about pirating software bannable?

Torrent is sometimes considered pirating. But it's not.

It just isn't. I already find it weird for some people to THINK it's pirating.

Torrent programs are peer to peer networking programs.

If you're having connection problems all the time, you either have really bad seeds, or a really bad connection.

I don't know if it's the harsh windstorm here
If you're on DSL, this is more likely the problem.

I remember a time when people wanted Blockland and mods up as torrents for some reason. Improve download speeds by having the userbase seed it. Then again, by this point that system would be gone anyway because none of the current users would maintain it.

Also, what you describe is natural. I get that all the time for any torrent.

Oh, I thought it was pirating seeing as you could get stuff you need to pay for, for free.

It depends on what contents are inside the torrents that make them illegal.
Yes, torrents have been a main source for piracy but it was not created for that purpose.
