Does anyone know a good laptop that has dual-core, Intel I5 processor, and a good graphics card?

It should also be able to play games like TF2 HL2, etc.

dual core...intel i5? Intel i5 is a quad core processor.

intel i3 is dual core. I think.

Oops...I meant i3 or i5

i5 on laptops are dual cores, i3s are too i think, you can try cyberpowerPC or newegg, you can get quads on there for $800

but most mid-end laptops can run source at low

quads = mid & high end i7s
low end i7s are dual

There's still a matter of graphics...

Any links?

Also, i'm looking in the price range between $300-$500

I suck at processors. I just looked it up and Arrandale, Clarkdale, Sandy Bridge (M) and a few other variants are dual core. i5s for laptops are dual-core and some sandy bridges for desktop are also dual-core. Why is everything so complicated...

Only Sandybridgei3 & 5 are duals.

i3s are dual core in all situations.

Non sandy-bridge i5 that is dual core:

A part of the Clarkdale family of i5s, also it's a desktop processor.

I'm confusing myself. I need to stop.

non-sb are high end quads & six cores
non-sb mid end near the edge is quads.

That's not going to get you much for a laptop.

Specifically why do you want a laptop?

That's probably the best bang you're gonna get in a laptop for $500.
It's quad core and has a decent video card.
If I was to fulfil your i3/i5 wet dream, your video card would be an integrated Intel HD, which absolutely suck, and you'd only have 2 cores. They are more expensive computers that you should only aim for in the $700-$1000 price range.

my next desktop will have a floppy drive.
for the luls
:D

If it's a Intel HD? shouldn't it be able to run source games nicely or are integrated graphics still a pile of stuff (with the exception of radeon's hybrid Crossfire llano platform which dominates intel's integrated even without crossfire if we're talking about a A8-3850, you lose the L3 cache and thats not good.

one of my chick friends just got a newegg prebuilt desktop+monitor set. it was a retailed 1200.00 gaming comp that she paid all of 540.00 for.

newegg has some sweet clearance deals every now and then.
