Can somebody get me a vce tutorial?

So i'm gonna try to make a RPG with vce. The thing is, I am wondering how I could show things like XP and how much gold ore you have. And how do I make it so if you hit it with a pickaxe 5 times it shows the numbers like 1 chops, 2 chops 3, chops 4, etc. This is very confusing, but I am willing to take the time to do this. One more question, If I made a escape the room how would I make it so you could only get one screwdriver? Like this,

"You got the screwdriver!"

then the client clicks on the toolbox again,

"You already have these tools!"

I use default events. Seems easier to me. Basically a computer with default events.
