I just got my braces readjusted, and every single damn time it ends up with my mouth hurting like hell for two weeks minimum. I also have to wear rubber bands, yes, these things:

and they're so damn annoying. Half of the time they end up snapping, which hurts, and I can't eat a damn thing.

I had rubber bands to.
Its because they are pulling your teeth to normal position, that's why it hurts when it will get closer to the good position it will hurt less.
Get used to it.

I've had braces for nearly 3 years now. Rubberbands were annoying as hell, yeah, but you're using some stuffty ones if they keep snapping.
