Author Topic: Map swap  (Read 1680 times)

I have discovered this ONLY with RTB and BL mods 1.6a.

So, the idea is, that you go to data, go to missions, copy the level data and paste it to rtb/blmods 1.6a data.
It's so bloody cool, so do it yourself!

ATTENTION: Only some of the levels work in each other mod. Maybe there are only 2 maps what works in each other. The maps i have currently discovered:

Missions to rtb:

-Mountain colony - DEATHMATCH
-Bedroom slopes/rampsV3
-buildbox 1.2

Mission to Blockland mods 1.6a:

-Lavapit update


I'll bring here the news for other levels, as soon i find it works.

Well, yes, as both are based on the Torque Game Engine any map can be ported by copying the terrain files, mission files and any textures over and then going through the mission and removing objects which do not exist in that mod/game. It's perfectly possible to take maps from other games, such as Age of Time or BL0002's Green Hills, and put it in Blockland Retail with no problems except massive downloads for clients - even if they ported the map themselves they won't do it in the exact same way I did and have slightly different files forcing a redownload.

someone should convert all the maps for the old blockland and AoT and mvoe them to BLR
