The intercom in every room starts up, and a regular male voice speaks out.

"I hope you're reawakening hasn't upset any of you in the slightest bit. To avoid any future mix-ups, your "real body" is dead, but a clone of you, or YOU currently are alive.

So yes, in a sense, you are dead men. Try not to be too shocked, please. Really, life in the vault isn't that bad. All of you are assigned to the sleeping chambers, in which you will have to pick out your own bunks.

Good day, everybody."

??? nods his head then looks at a small map posted on the wall of the cloning room. So I go through Storage, the Main Room, the Armory and then to the Bedrooms. Simple enough. ??? starts to head to the Bedroom. Storage... Main Room... Armory... Bedroom. I'm here. Nobody else had gotten to the room yet, but he heard people following him so he assumed some came with him. He looked at the beds to choose one but they all looked the same, so he just hopped on the closest one to the door. This one will be mine. He looked around and waited for the others to arrive by doing some math equations in his head. Soon some others arrived, but not all of them. They picked out some beds and got on them, waiting, like him, for others or instructions.

Arrrgg it's so hard to write in third person because I'm used to actualy being the person in the story and I keep putting "I" and "me" and stuff. D:

"Yeah. You a dead man too?"
"Well according the the voice, yes"

"Well then, I'm off to find whatever room I'm assigned to, let's hope there are some ladies there..."

"I think there are clothes in the room ahead"

The main room was easily 50 feet tall. At the top corner, there is a gigantic staircase that retracts into the ceiling, along with some kind of bay door that might as well be 10 feet thick, I doubted it could even open. But I don't think the engineers who designed this vault intended it to ever work. I do not want to live in this gray, dimly lit tomb for the rest of my life. I had to get out somehow. I don't even know what happened out there, this entire vault may be some kind of test experiment the government was running! Maybe there was no apocalypse, maybe we never died...

The schizophrenia was already settling in. Oh boy, do I remember the schizophrenia...

(Ike, what do you think of the idea of the vault being a fraud?)

nope. The vault is completely safe and effective.

Can I still join or are the slots full?

I start yelling, "Can someone open this door!" As I sit in the cloning chamber shutting and banging on the glass door. I sit there and think why no one even tried to open it up for me.

While everyone is in the bedroom ??? hears someone banging on their cloning cell door. Why isn't anyone doing anything? He gets up and leaves to the cloning chambers, running faster than humanly possible. He shows up and "scans" the room and he sees a person looking at him, yelling "open the door!". He runs over and pulls the door open, entirely forgetting the strong-as-hell locks on it, and the clone thanks ???. He nods his head, then looks at the door and the locks and realises, Whoa. Those locks appear to be able to withstand a force of 200 pounds. I yanked the door open like it was nothing and broke those locks. I guess there is something to this "genetic experement" after all. ??? shows him to the bedrooms where the clone chooses a bed and ??? go back to his and thinks about what happened.
