Yesterday my military academy held a "homecoming dance". It was required that you bring a date, least you get demerits and assigned a date.

Yea, I had my doubts, but I got my friends to hook me up anyway.

Turns out that my blind date was actually an attractive and incredibly sweet, and modest, girl. So we did 2 very awkward slow dances, (neither of us had ever danced before) and 1 fast dance type thing (we both sucked lol), and for the most part we just talked

I had originally thought it was going to be terrible and un-fun but everything went better than expected

oh yea, I completely forgot about the music.

It was terrible.

I was also receiving plenty of looks because I'm the last guy you would expect to have a date.

lets see... my first dance I didn't know how, but I did anyway for the hell of it and faceplanked on the floor just as the music ended in the middle of a dance circle.

6th grade we had the "Snowball Dance" and I showed up in a white dress and was nervous as forget. Q-Q
