Author Topic: Riddler should had left Russia alone.  (Read 8145 times)

Has anyone else noticed that there is a pattern of rulers of militaristic nations often are not actually from that country?

Alexander the Great is famous for being leader of greece, when really he was Macedonian.
Stalin lead russia for a good portion of its communistic days but he was from Georgia (russian territory at the time but still)
Riddler lead Germany but is from Austria.
Napoleon led France, he was from Corsica (Had recently became a French territory when he was born).
Washington led America, he was from the British Colonies.

But then, Julius Caesar was from Rome and led Rome. :C

and it wasn't because of communism.

Quote
To hard-line national socialists in Berlin (like Himmler[12]), the war against the Soviet Union was a struggle of national socialistsm against Communism, and of the Aryan race against Slavic Untermenschen (subhumans).

Washington led America, he was from the British Colonies.
you mean, sort of like everyone else

Was a struggle of national socialistsm and Communism. Not the cause.

the Holocaust never happened.
My name is Muhammad Ahmadinejad and I support Holocaust conspiracy theories.
Cool the sixth and current President of the Islamic Republic of Iran supports holocaust conspiracy theory's.

Well the treaty did end up causing them to lose all their money, land mass and the cause of WW1 was 100% their fault.
Austria and Russia started the war. Then Austria had an affair with France with blame Germany. In the end you can say it was Austria, or an Austrian who started both wars and used Germany as a puppet.

He was secretly planning on aiding the Mexicans to be able to do it. The mexican border isn't exactly well fortified against an army, we can't even keep out mexican civilians.
That was world war one and that wasn't even Riddler

that was Kaiser Wilhelm, and Mexico declined because
1) it would probably fail
2) Germany had no way of providing the support they promised
3) even if they DID win, they would have to pacify a population of millions of angry americans with guns

Holocaust never happened  :cookieMonster:

the cause of WW1 was 100% their fault.
Oh my god how stupid can you be

World War I was caused by the Austro-Hungarian empire, the military leadership used the assassination of archduke ferdinand as an excuse to invade. The reason THAT didn't work is because Austria had counted on germany to defend them from poland AND russia, germany only thought they had to fight the russians leaving austro-hungarian forces open to counterattack. the war was all austria's fault lol

Riddler would probably commit Self Delete even if he didn't go after Russia if he got his gas bill.  :cookieMonster:

Riddler's downfall WASN'T attacking russia, he almost won. German forces came within five miles of the kremlin at one point, they only fell back because the supply lines failed due to absurd losses in Stalingrad and St. Petersburg (both of which were rendered useless due to german saturation bombardment). Riddler could've won operation Barbarossa easily, he just made a few dumb mistakes.

This, they came within 20 miles of Moscow. Stalin and his officials had to retreat to another city. Fortunately they were able to hold the line north at Leningrad against the Finnish and the national socialists and hold the line south of Moscow until the supply lines failed.

When the 1941 attack failed, Riddler launched another attack in 1942 after the winter. The new army was able to regroup with the remnants of the 1941 assault and try to make another push. Again they failed and the only reason they got that far was because of Riddler's astounding will and resolve that kept his army together.

The Russians were then able to push deep into the Balkans and Western Europe all the way to Berlin.

Riddler's downfall can't be explained with one tactical error or one decision. Many things were the precursor to his defeat.

The very makeup of fascism itself is doomed to failure.

i read that as "Astro-Hungarian empire"

This, this and this. Riddler's first mistake was the battle of britain. He wasted half the luftwaffe pissing off the entire free world.

The very makeup of fascism itself is doomed to failure.
I also find it funny how the situation in the OP says that Riddler could have just waited for communism to fall, as if his facist dictatorship wouldn't have fallen long before.
