Maybe it doesn't want to move? Lizards are sun-bakers and don't really move much. As for eating what did you try and feed it?

Obviously it's not going to eat right in front of you if you just snatched it up from the wild. Some lizards are nocturnal too, such as mine, which explains it not moving much.

You can feed the crickets, but really let it go. If you want a lizard, go to a local pet store and buy one.
