Author Topic: Any computers for less than 400 dollars?  (Read 1190 times)

My parents agreed to pay for a 300 dollar computer - I can get a 400 dollar one if I spend my 100 dollars towards it.

My preferences:
AMD Phenom x4
Windows 7 home 64 bit
4 GB of ram
Prebuilt (But me building one is fine, I just don't want to forget up)

There is no need for a graphics card.

Well not including the OS, but very easily if you decide to build one.

Can I see what you're talking about?

I'm rather impressed on how great a deal that is. Though it's not a quad core like OP preferred.

But for those of you who don't notice, you still have the buy it.

Mine cost $350(?). It was the floor model though.

There was one good deal that I wanted to get but didn't have enough money for.
It was $250 for a quad core, 4gb ram, 500hd, but it didn't include a gpu.

Do you already have a video card? Cause video cards are in fact necessary, how else would a signal get to your monitor, unless you mean just to use the integrated one. But I don't see the point of that.

It isn't for gaming.

I might use it eventually for gaming but that isn't my top priority at the moment.

A graphics card isn't only essential for gaming, it is also used for most things on a computer. It's good to have a dedicated one no matter what the quality of it.

Bump.

If I persuade my parents to spend a little more, is this worth it?

If you get that, You're a lucky bastard. It only has 3GB of ram though. I paid $350 for the exact same thing. Works awesome. Just delete most of Toshiba's Crapware off of it first.

Woops, Didn't see that 4 Core thing. I think you can't possibly pull a stunt like this, unless it's used.
