I resolved to not let my guard down to let a similar incident happen again. I was noticeably more tense now.

My shoulderblades were easily visible with my tense and weak frame, although my Indiana Jones-esque outfit masked them decently.

David pulled a wrench that he has been holding on to for a while.
It had no use though, as it was a fire hydrant wrench.

I happened to see a man with a wrench out of the corner of my eye. "Why do you have that!?" I said, jumpy as ever.

I walked past my room, to the library. I got a stack of books, which I took back to my room, and began reading. Most were about engineering, mechanics, robotics, and the like.

I slowly crept away toward the ship's library. "Maybe I can continue my studies here..." I said to myself.

Deciding not to let another incident like this not happen again, I headed to the armory. As I approached there, my booting clanking on the steel metal grate, I tried to get out my card.
"Where th- where's my card."
It was the card for the armory. Someone must have swiped it or I could have misplaced it. I headed back to my quarters to find out.

I saw the man who was being dragged away with me again. "Hello." I droned nervously.

"Erh, someone said something was broken... Calm down, I'm not beating anyone into submission."

"Erh, someone said something was broken... Calm down, I'm not beating anyone into submission."

Damn you type slow.

I silently walked around to see if there were any books on past earth civilizations.

Unsatisfied, a walked near the other gun to see what was close to him.

I finished one book, and picked up another. Soon, I found myself sketching designs for machinery, another robotic design, so many useful things that would never be made, and would never be found, as they would incinerated along with my body. I cried a little at this thought.

"Em... excuse me? Do you happen to know if there's... anything on ancient empires and such?"

I looked up. "Ancient empires... I think over there." I pointed over at a small section.
