After a few minutes I was bored.
"We done yet?"
"We're still getting the machine ready to cut through the tissue, it's not working for some reason..."
"Is it a good idea to do that while pointing it at me?"
"What's the worst that can happen? We'll just put it back together, you'll just suffer p-" the medic was cut off by the sound of the tissue laser activating.
There were faint screams and the panic of medics coming from the other side of the medical bay door.
"THIS HUUUUURTS!"

The laser blasted into my face and I was fixed in seconds.

A medic started to talk over the public crew comms while I was grinding in pain.
"We need somebody down here to look at the tissue laser, we just blasted a boy's face open but we managed to get it back together, but now he's in serious pain..."

"Don'tya know you're supposedta give him anesthetic before you use the tissue laser?" Doyle seemed INCREDIBLY happy, which was completely opposite from her normal, pessimistic ways.

I walked over to the bridge, where I assumed the captain would be. I knocked on the door, and suprisingly, it slid open. "Erm, captain- acting captain?"

also in case watcher hasnt told you guys, all the non-organics appear anorexic
