"Hey DCB, how are you?"

The medic walked back over to me.
"You ok?"
"DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M BLOODY OK?! MY FACE HURTS LIKE I JUST GOT SHOT!"
"Calm down, you're going to be-"
"DON'T TELL ME I'M GOING TO BE FINE! I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING TO DIE!"
I yelled in pain and it faintly came out on the other end of the medical bay door.

"I'm fine, just dealing with two of the meatbags on the ship. Can I come in at all?"

"Yes?"

"I'd like to apply as a robotics engineer." I nervously tapped my fingers on my watch.

"sure, us non organics got to stick together"

"I'd like to apply as a robotics engineer." I nervously tapped my fingers on my watch.
"We don't have any  robots aboard, and us nonorganics can repair ourselves."

"sure, us non organics got to stick together"
I opened the door and walked in, glancing around. The door shut behind me as I looked back at Bee. "How are you?"

The medic ran over to the place where he held the anesthetic but to his surprise they were all out.
He ran back to the public crew comms.
"We're out of anesthetic, can you get somebody to bring some down, this kid won't stop complaining"
"IT BLOODY HURTS!" blurted out in the background.
"And fast?"

"I'm fine, a bit disoriented, but fine. Could you tell me whats wrong with the ship....i can't remember"

"We don't have any  robots aboard, and us nonorganics can repair ourselves."

I nodded. "Anything else I can do? Engineering anything? I heard the food vents are down, and I might be able to fix them."

I nodded. "Anything else I can do? Engineering anything? I heard the food vents are down, and I might be able to fix them."
"Nobody lives in the left side anymore."

"We're on a crash course with a nearby star, basically we're trapped in it's gravitational force. We've got under a year left. Already the ship's left side is off-limits to organics because of the heat."

"So I'm guessing that's a 'No' and I'm going to make him go get it?" the medic said with a tone of annoyance growing.

"Nobody lives in the left side anymore."

I nodded again. "Then I'll be on my way." I walked out the door.

"What? I thought the whole ship was heat shielded..." Walks to his desk, pulls out a chair, and sits down.
