From other celebrities who have died in the last decade and the reactions of people to those deaths. From general observations about how people viewed Steve Jobs before his death and the reactions after his death. I have not heard one single complaint about him or his products since the news of his death even though people were fuming bloody murder over the iPhone4 and it's constant antennae problems and the lame suggestions on how to fix it. (ie: plastic case or just hold it like "this") about it's grandiose cost on introduction, the many pc/mac threads over blockland... I really don't think I need to go on unless you are really that obscure and biased.

And the community will always be at least two sided on something or another. Check out the "Hot (insert person or thing here" and look at all the differing opinions.

The above stated is based on factual observations found in televised media, online sources, and general word of mouth. Saying that what I claim isn't true in some regard is really just trying to get a real argument started.

Honestly there is no argument to be had here. Steve Jobs was one of the father's of the personal computing era, that's a fact. He altered 4 industries in less than half a century, a huge achievement.
His company that he started in his garage is one of the largest in the world now, and just recently they had more spending money then the US government.

Steve Jobs was a legend, and nothing can take that away, whether you dislike him, like him, love him, you should at least respect him for what he has done over his short life-time.

Its common for a person to mourn over a death, regardless of what they were arguing about the time before.

I didn't like Apple, and to tell you the truth, I never really found its significance until I reflected on its past.  Perhaps the media may be exaggerating its dominance over technology, but I'm not mainly focusing on that, I'm focusing more on how Jobs was a great innovator and business man.  It represents a man that accomplished a goal, and I hope he may inspire others in the future to accomplish their goals.  I find a great lack of excellence right now, as I'm seeing others (colleagues and other acquaintances) passing up opportunities that may enrich them.
