Covering a half-time beat with really basic sequencing is really easy honestly.. And I think this is in the wrong section. Honestly I think even I'm capable of this. I think anyone who knows what percussion instrument makes what sound, could do this.
It's a simple song, yes, but it gives a drummer an opportunity to encorporate his own bits to the song and really have fun with it, instead of being forced to stick to how the song was recorded, because the beat is complex/fun enough as is. Both make for good drum covers, but I'm sorry this one isn't complex enough for you.
Is the song I'm hearing edited in or was it being broadcasted when you were recording?
I edited it in. I'm listening to the song through earbuds while playing. Lol, acoustics in my room are terrible so there's no way I would be able to hear the song over the drums without breaking my speakers.
And so is actually producing dubstep but it's really easy once you have an understanding of it.
Yes, but the acquisition of the skill and understanding of either drumming, or producing dubstep is the somewhat challenging part, unless of course you're some kind of prodigy who can just pick up sticks and free style to a song. I would appreciate that.
