he talks stuff from the front of the bus to people in the back, and when they say something to him back, he sits down like nothing happened

I'm a sophomore, and the incoming freshman all talk stuff to us sophomores in the back. Obviously, everyone my grade in the back of the bus with me is my friend considering I've grown up with them for the past 4 years.
The main freshman talking stuff is named Gary, and literally just started out of no where as we never did a thing to him. I called him out on it yesterday (no school today) and asked him if he had a problem with us and wanted to fight me. He said alright and everyone pulled out their cameras as we were walking off the bus home. When I got off, he just pussied out and ran away home with his other buddies.
I mean, how are you going to talk stuff and then run away? I'm above fighting just because someone is insulting me with words, as I knew he was going to run away so I was basically teaching him a lesson anyway not to talk stuff like that in highschool, but if he keeps it up when we return to school Tuesday, a beat down will surely happen
then if his friends jump in as well, my friends are too.
