"I see them." I further worked the engines, and fired missiles directly at them. I took out three of the four with the missiles, and downed the fourth with machineguns. "This is Skyeye, hurry up with the air base. There's only a little bit left."

"Uzi 1, coming in hot." I targeted a Shilka on the ground with the laser designator, and then I switched my attention to the WSO behind me. "Attack my target." He let off an AGM-65 Maverick. "Rifle," he called out. Before I knew it, a small blaze erupted on the ground. "Scratch one Shilka." Onto the next. stuff, I hate sharing roosterpits, but anything is better than being assigned level bombing duty.

I looked over my shoulder and saw the furball everyone else was tangled in. Well, at least nothing's on my back.

More AA units are blown to pieces. All that's left now are a few hangars and the tower.

"Alright, bombers and multi-roles, focus most of your attention on the ground. Fighters, protect them!" I took out some AA turrets.

"Got it!" I bolted down towards the ground. The multiroles were not doing a whole lot, so I peppered the battlefield with my machineguns.

Missiles flew from my plane into a hanger. I fired off more into another and watched as it exploded. It was satisfying.

I spotted two control towers and launched a couple of my small bombs at them. They lit up like... something... lighting up.

Switch to CCIP bombing mode. I come in for a dive onto the last few hangars, and the WSO squeezes off the only two JDAMs in the loadout. Two more hangars blow up.

I spotted two control towers and launched a couple of my small bombs at them. They lit up like... something... lighting up.

"That should prevent any more fighters from coming. Or cause more to come, but nice work." I fired my missiles into the last hanger, and heard a beep. "I'm out of missiles, let's wrap this up."

I flew over the fiery rubble, watching as fire consumed everything. Then bombed a runway.

"That should be the last of them." I looked over the destroyed base. "Let's go home, gentlemen."

A tear drops from my eye thinking about all of my brothers we killed, "This is Hammer 4-1, disengaging."

I fired my last rockets into a fuel dump. It went up in a massive fireball. "This is Phoenix 5, I have no more ammunition. RTB."

I turned around and flew back towards base.

I then stroked the side of the roosterpit. *mumbling under breath* "You did good, girl, you did good."

I take one last parting glance to admire the handiwork. Then I remember that I came in late and hardly any of this was my work. Goddammit, they better have A-10s ready for the next mission.

TIMESKIP!

I did the landing checks, lowered my gear, and popped the flaps. I could still see some charring on the runway where I had crashed my Phantom.

"Control tower, this is Phoenix 5. Request permission to land."

"Roger, Phoenix. Just try not to wreck your plane this time. *chuckle*"

"I'll try not too."

I landed perfectly, and taxied to my hangar. I shut down the aircraft, and opened the roosterpit. I gave her a quick pat and climbed out.
