Actually, social studies is one of the most important things a person could learn considering that the greater amount of human knowledge comes from experience, and time is notorious for repeating in one way or another. That is, the farther man can look into the past, the better man may see into the future. All within reason, of course. Plus social studies is much more diverse and fuses social sciences with history in order to better understand the dynamics and usage of each.
