Dish out more money for better internet.

For one switch from Comcast, they limit you on monthly usage and monitor your traffic.

I have 5MB/s DL and I'm content. Why you need so good internet man?

That's fine. How much RAM do you have?

5 megabits = 0.625 megabytes per second, essentially 625 kilobytes per second.  Not fast at all IMO.

There's a difference between Mb/s and MB/s.  The first is megaBITS and the second is megaBYTES.  Megabytes are typically used when it comes to storage.  You can type what you want into google to get conversions, try typing "5 megabites in megabytes" into google.

Mine is worse. So don't complain.

Anyways, OP, you might want to get a direct connection to your modem if you are connecting wirelessly.

It means they're either fake because they would've done something by now or someone's leeching off your internet.

Dish out more money for your internet plan.  I'm on Verizon and I get incredibly high speeds because we dish upwards of $150/month.

Pewpewpew. stuffty upload though.

Adding to this:
8 MegaBITS is 1 MegaBYTE.
Megabyte is always written MB/S, whereas Megabits can be written Mb/s or mbps.
