Author Topic: The Computer Hardware/Overclocking/Etc Megathread  (Read 619 times)

There have been WAY too many "Can you make me a computer," or" Why isn't my computer working", and such threads. Hence here's a megathread for everyone who needs help with computers.

Just post here and computer people will help you. I will soon be posting a guide to computers.

No. I doubt anyone will get help from this. People will be too focused on themselves.

I'm on a computer with 1 gig of RAM right now, it suck so badly.

Upgrade your RAM, what are you mainly doing with your computer?

Cant help with that. People choose themselves whether to post here or in a new topic. Even though it's better to post here, I can't change people's minds that easily.

It's a stuffty macbook, and it lags browsing the internet. I'm waiting on Newegg to ship some parts to assemble a desktop.

Well make sure to at least get 4GB of RAM for good performance. 2GB if you're not doing anything to do with eating up performance (Video editing, gaming, programs, etc.)

OP made like, 6 topics in a day about building a computer.

I think it was actually someone else, I don't know.  :/

This is really an overkill build, 12 gigs of ram ;D

Hence I made this thread because I know a lot of people are posting threads, including myself. I myself will ask questions too.

"Overkill" is based on your other parts of your computer and what you are going to be doing with your computer.

Main purpose of computer?
And also post specs if you can.

I thought about doing this, but it would require an assload of work upfront and also maintaining which would be hard work with the tiny amount of people we have here that help (Nick, Righteous etc).

You can't really have a computer build superthread, its pretty specific to each person

id rather have seperate topics for computer help and stuff
