Then maybe you should get a phone instead of am iPod?
Why get a dedicated MP3 when there are cheaper phones out there which can do it just as well (or better)?
I cant afford to pay monthly for a phone.
And my parents wont pay

Since when do phones have a monthly cost?

The Ipod 4g is a lot loveier than the 3g.
Integrated mic and two cameras, with rounded edges and no ugly wifibar at the back.
This is coming from personal experience.
Also get it band new. It's a lot better that refurbished.

To use the phone for a phone.

To use the phone for a phone.
Ever heard about this thing called "prepaid"? It only charges for actual usage.

Yeah, but you can't get a neat phone with all the bells and whistles they come with these days. Like tracphone; its flip phones.

1. Use this to determine when to buy this stuff. http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/ The iPod Touch 4 is your best bet, because it's going to be supported for a long time into the future, because it's new. That goes without saying, but it's important because if you buy the iPod 3, you can expect it to be un-supported, slow, and running an older OS in, say, a year or two.

2. iPods are perfectly reasonable solutions to needing an mp3 player. Not everyone uses their phone because not all phones are suited to play music well, and no phone is as good at playing music as an iPod (except for the iPhone), although that's just my opinion. It works seamlessly and it's easy for me.

3. It might be a bit out of your price range, but not by much, and it's 32 gb. which you'll need: Link for teh lulz

will you buy one for $100?

This message is posted from my Nexus S with prepaid.

Assuming you aren't an audiophile there is no reason for having a separate MP3 player.

I still wouldnt be able to make the money

Yea, I dont think Im willing to spend $300 for and iPod
Probably $200

will you buy one for $100?

Idk

I clearly explained why it's a good reason to have a separate mp3 player. Now stop being a biased idiot who's so in love with his phone that can do everything, and is too ignorant to realize that not all phones do music well at all. You just have a phone that is, so good for you.

So you can afford an iPod but not a cheaper mobile phone?

Weren't you the guy who wanted to get that Apple certification? I think it's fairly safe to say that you are fairly biased too. And even if you do need a separate MP3 there isn't any reason to pay extra to get an iPod, as well as having the joy of being forced to have the piece of crap also known as iTunes installed on your computer.

iTunes is super easy to use, works very well, no complaints.

Yet everybody else hates it. I don't know why.

So you can afford an iPod but not a cheaper mobile phone?

Yes, because the total cost of the phone would overall be more exspensive than $200
Seeing I would use it a lot
and since Im at my house most of the time with wi-fi I could just use the iPod to text people

And you could do that just as well with a cheap smartphone. Actually better; iOS doesn't have Swype.
