12 GB of RAM will probably do you good for awhile, though.

Considering 4GB is enough these days (for me at least).

Don't worry, dos barely uses up any ram in case if you need your OS. Just use that as an alternative.

It might actually run Java, but remember that it's 16-bit, so it can't even address that much RAM.

there's other things that'll use RAM

and also minecraft servers'll use up to about 1.67GB

so

That's Blockland servers, Minecraft can take advantage of much more.
