Sony Vegas trial won't render right

Whenever I slow down a clip, it plays correctly in the preview, but when I render it it doesn't slow down. Any of you know how to fix this?

How are you slowing it down? I slow it down by holding CTRL and dragging the clip to the desired speed.

Yeah this is the way you slow down the timeline. I dont know of any other the OP couldve done though.

I was doing it
>right click
>properties
>playback rate
guess that's not how it's done
