Blockland v20 - I don't know how to copy and paste files

So, now Blockland doesn't "update", it completely reinstalls with a new, time-wasting and completely confusing re-installer. And by the way, it doesn't carry over anything from pre-v20. Hence the title: Say goodbye for the stuf you've ben doing for 3+ yrs.

What the heck. WHY. WHY MUST WE HAVE A NEW COMPLETELY CONFUSING WAY OF DOING THINGS FOR SOME REASON.

I was literally in tears when I first knew about this.

copy and paste your addons, cache, and everything else you want from your old blockland folder to your new one, its not that difficult

A warning on the download for V20 might be necessary in-case someone does this without knowing.

You installed it wrong, when I installed V20 I had an option to reinstall old addons.

Or maybe you need help with the installer?

I agree with everything listed. On my other computer, I had this problem. But that was before I knew that the Blockland folder was relocated.

you're crying over an incredibly fast process of moving files from one folder to another?


a notice would have been helpful, but I figured it out rather quickly. the only thing I lost was my trustlist because I stupidly forgot about it until after deleting the old Blockland folder.

They do not, sorry. Baddy botched the ability with the new launcher. It just re-downloads the originals. Same goes for custom brick textures.

Just re-download the installer.

I had this same issue on my thread "Ghost Saves".

I wanted to port over my files (which you can do with v20. yes, you can port over your v19 stuff.)  but since I was on a Windows 7, nothing appeared in Program Files.

I looked up "Virtual Store" after help from Badspot, and it turns out everything was THERE - in a hidden folder.

Keep that in mind if you're on a Win7/Vista, you want to port over your 3+ yr files, and can't find them.

What do you mean "can't build"?  You are not providing any information.  The default game clearly allows you to build.  You probably have some add-on installed that specifically prevents building.

Gui modifications do work, you just need an add-on for them.
