Author Topic: Why do people even like recent lego games? They are all recycled!  (Read 5430 times)

I was just glad I could finally use clone trooper parts in character customization.
This.
I have an Ithorian custom character. He's a Jedi.

He looks something like that.

The game play is slightly different. Besides, the formula works, stop complaining.

What happened to the formula of games like Rock Raiders, lego island, lego racers, etc? Those didn't work?

It doesn't matter if it works, it's getting old and stale.

LEGO Star Wars TCS was a masterpiece.
This and LEGO Batman were awsome. The rest were meh.

What happened to the formula of games like Rock Raiders, lego island, lego racers, etc? Those didn't work?

Kids like sci-fi battles, not miners vs rock monsters or "skate around and deliver pizzas ok???".

Tony, you think we can't change anything from Blockland to be not Lego-y? Yet Lego must always be completely different.

Those didn't work?

He never frickin' said they didn't!

You are so dense.

Wait wait wait wait wait

think about it.

Would those formulas work in movie bases games? just saying. I mean, Lego racers in Harry Potter would be odd.

if they stop making movie-based games, they would use a different formula.

You can't figure anything out in Lego Indiana Jones unless you have seen all the movies.

Its ridiculous.

I feel like I am taking crazy pills because no one else realizes each game is the same stuff.

More like kids like a lego version of their favorite movie. You noticed lego hasn't done a lego game outside of a movie in years except for Lego Rockband. Lego Rockband did not sell well so they didn't make Lego Rockband 2.

You don't even know what you are talking about now. Re-word it again.

So it's not fact they are exactly the same but with different skins? OH LOOK A STORM TROOPER HELMET IT'S COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

This, just usual crying.

I don't understand why people love these new lego games of today and I don't understand why they get good reviews. Each lego game has been a recycled version off Lego Starwars.

Lego Starwars, Lego Harry Potter, Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Pirates of The Caribbean are all the same stuff! Each one is a recycled version off Lego Starwars the only difference is the slight change of graphics and the change of texture. They all play the same, they all look the same, they all have the same stuffty gameplay formula.

I feel like I am taking crazy pills because no one else realizes each game is the same stuff.
For once, Lord Tony and I agree on something.

Your loss for not watching the movies.

I've seen all of them besides the Lost ark. Which took me hours to complete a level in.

So it's not fact they are exactly the same but with different skins? OH LOOK A STORM TROOPER HELMET IT'S COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
Each LEGO game scrapped elements from other games and incorporated new elements.
Batman's Batarang and hand-to-hand combat, as well as numerous other features.

Indiana Jones' whip, hiding in cover inside bushes or trash cans, and once again, numerous others.

Star Wars' use of the Force, easy-to-learn-difficult-to-master lightsaber combat, and astronomically(no pun intended) rich character customization.

As for Harry Potter, I have not played it.

It's not different enough to classify it as a whole new game. They are slight gameplay tweaks to match up the characters.

Let's say I take a lego starwars game and I add in handtohand combat and a boomerang, is that enough to change the game entirely?
