Author Topic: How to do the RGB Color trick from years ago?  (Read 2711 times)

I remember a few years back, we had these signs we would light up using RGB lights. Each change made different abbreviations stand out. They formed "OMGWTFBBQ." I had it macroed, but lost that years ago. I need help figuring out how to do this kind of thing again. I can't even remember how to make the bricks to form the letters correctly anymore. Could someone help me figure out how to do this kind of thing again?

You play on a dark map, make a wall of 1x1s and use a mixture of red, green and blue bricks, then put a brick in front of that and set the light to RGB

Obviously. But I can't figure out which colors I should be using. How do I go about figuring that part out? How to make the letters correctly? It's been so long.

woah. I never knew... I am going to figure out how to do this!

Delays and some relays, I think.

Well here's a tip, red light shows red and hides blue and and partially green, green light shows green and hides red and blue, blue light shows blue and hides red and partially green, so you could probably use that to your advantage or something

It was before events, or at least doesn't involve them what so ever.

I'm not that kind of clever. Maybe you could show me in server?

I'm going to actually try this later on my spare time.

I'll try making a server, though with my luck, i'll need to port forward even though i think that's no longer necessary

Password is MegaScience

Green bricks appear when there is a green light, red when it is red and blue when the light is blue. You use mixtures of those to have multiple letters across multiple lights.

I think it is, I still cant host.
(Even though I port forwarded once already)

And knowing is half the ba-

I sorta got it, although I could probably find better colors. It says "OMGWTFLOL" now.

that old trick cant be replicated exactly nowadays

Yes, mine turned out sorta ugly. Since people make their own colorsets constantly, I'd need some overly complex code to figure out what colors match up best, and then hook that into the Macro Saver system somehow.
