It's Rosewill, so customer support will be lenient like mad in the case of defect.

It appears you do have a PCI-E lane. I'd like a closer picture of those black lines if possible, to be sure.
Also, measure the distance from the expansion brackets (top of the right edge on that picture) to the opposite side, along parallel to the biggest black line.

I can't get a picture of the black lines, sadly, but it's the three small lines then the big line, Theirs a hook looking thing at the left end of the big black line,

and if the expansion brackets are these things

Their about 4 inchs

I want the distance inside the case, parallel to the longest black line, from the expansion plates at the rear of the case to the nearest thing opposite of it. Checking to see how much room for a big GPU.

Are laptops upgradeable? I'm under the impression they aren't but I'm wondering if you can?

Well, upgrading ram and the hard drive is not hard but not super easy.

In some laptops the RAM is easily accesible, but not very often. Most of the time it takes a lot of scrws to get at the HD and the RAM.

Best parts to go with this barebone pc gogogo.

Well first off, you should get a computer with a bigger case lol.

You can add/change the RAM and replace the hard drive on pretty much all relativity new laptops. I believe some even let you change the processor, but I'm not sure about that.

So the other morning as I was about to print out my homework assignment my Windows install decided to corrupt to a non-repairable state. I reinstalled last month so I just said, "forget it," and reinstalled again since I didn't have any important files.

This morning it takes Chrome five loving minutes to load a webpage, stalling on accessing its cache. I restart my computer and BLAM, corrupted again. At this point I'm reasonably sure my hard drive has stuff the bed which sucks since it's a nice WD Caviar model and it is out of warranty.

OK whatever, I have some homework to do and I need Windows to run specific programs. I'll just use my old Macbook Pro to do this, it has Wind-

MY MOTHER loving WINDOWS PARTITION IS CORRUPTED ON THE loving MACBOOK. GOD DAMN.

When I wipe out the Windows partition and try to reinstall through the Bootcamp manager I learn that it requires the Windows partition be made in a contiguous block of memory on the hard drive. The easiest way to do this is to reinstall the Mac OS and start fresh. No problem, I have my old Snow Leopard disc and there isn't anything important on the Mac.

FOR WHATEVER loving REASON THE OS REFUSES TO INSTALL MULTIPLE TIMES AND NOW I HAVE TWO loving USELESS COMPUTERS AND AN ASSIGNMENT I NEED TO DO. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUU
* Otis Da HousKat bashes his head against the wall.

So, I'm in the market for a new hard drive. I have a network media server running hooked up to a redundant storage system so I don't need to store much on my main PC anymore. I think I'll finally buy an SSD to run my OS off of. :iceCream:
