Second best ATI card for $300. loving amazing.
Yes, it is last gen, but all that power. Quite considerably faster than a GTX580 (20% or so) for $300. Wow.

Ethan, will you tell me if this is a good buy or not?

You closed your question with "nevermind".
I'm not a mindreader.

I apologize for what I said, I didn't realize that you weren't responding because of that
what I meant by nevermind was that just headphones weren't the problem anymore
again, sorry

What would you reccomend for cooling my laptop? I might get an external cooling pad/fan temporary.

The cooling pads that you put under them with fans in them are the best bet.
Don't cheap out, you should spend at least $80 on one.

Aaww man! I don't know what to do with my money. Get this or a new mobo, case and a 6950. It probably won't fit in my case so I'll have to work hard to get enough money for this and a case if I make up my mind to go for this.
Is the deal forever or just temporary?

Just Black Friday.
FYI it's only $50 more than a 6950 for I'd say nearly double the performance. Just don't forget PSU problems lol. 2 cards in one.

Aww yeah c:.

Just ordered all my parts exluding, HDD and CPU. I'll be picking up a 2TB Seagate Barracuda (Cheapest) at Staples on Black Friday, and the i5-2500K for $150 from Microcenter on Black Friday.

Then, my build shall be complete, and I will be off playing BF3 and Skyrim at at least 40FPS on my resolution. C:

I saw the 5970 and I melted, if I had another $100 in my GPU budget, would've bought that in a heart beat. Sadly though, my dad won't go higher than the max of like $180, lol, thank god for rebates.

That site is stuff for specs, but upon further research the Dell is a step up.
Ok I wouldve rather grabbed the Dell anyway I havent heard of Gateway much since the early 2000s

THE DOWNSIDE OF GIMMICKS

Ethan, I just want to clarify how crossfire mode works. I get two GPU's, place them on the motherboard, place a crossfire bridge band to connect to each other, and then only plug in my monitor to one of the cards? I am slightly confused about which port to plug my monitor into.
