I'm thinking of replacing my PSU on my dead PC. I really think it would be better than keeping a even older pc for until I get enough money. So, my dead PSU is a Enermax SFC ATX 12v Ver 1.3
AC Input is 115v/230V~
So, can anyone list a replacement PSU?
You're listing practically nothing, but I've dealt with your type of computer before and I know what it takes to run it.
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817822006You won't use the SATA power connectors unless you get SATA drives so you could use this a bit later on as well.
Bump because I think I have found a computer even WORSE than coolio's. Trust me you think it wouldn't be hard to do if you go back far enough in time to get a computer from the early 90's.
Prepare for the specs on this dinosaur that runs the video studio's lighting system at my school.
The reason I was messing with this is because we haven't used our most likely 1.2 million dollar studio lighting system that was built in the 1990's since last year when it mysteriously stopped working. One reason being this computer is ancient, I managed to get it functioning today for whatever reason. I think maybe we tripped a circuit breaker last spring and it just needs to be reset issue with this I am not touching the fuse box we have in the studio without someone who knows what the forget their doing lol.
Oh god, lol.
I think there's a computer out in my garage that runs 3.11 more than well. Not sure if it powers on, though.
Would this graphics card work well with the $1500 build in the OP?
Yes, but unless you're playing games in resolutions higher than 1920x1080 you won't need more than 1GB of video memory.
This should do nicely if you're not. Plus, it's factory overclocked, so it will perform better than the one you listed.
