I have to agree with you, especially at high detail at 1080p.
Least I would go would be a HD6870, HD7770 or GTX560.

Also, beach, we have a thread for this that filters out all the idiots that take this off topic.

He kind of stated it right there for you.

alright, i'm not going to make a purchase off of 1 recommendation. that'd be silly.

Budget?
I'm thinking about $85 in which i could grab a GPU at that price.

Found something: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121442
This should max out Diablo 3 at least.

>6670
hahaha no

Hey guys how much better is the 7750 than the 6750? I'm looking into buying either these two cards.

The 7750 is better as it is a more up to date in general. The 7750 was used to replaced the 6750 in a way. If you want specific details about performance then I suggest you look at this article. Article

Ethan, when I get my CPU at Microcenter I saw that they had this monitor. Do you think it is a safe bet?
Not a very well known brand. I'd definitely look at reviews for it as there's really no other way to tell with unknown brands.

That's a bit weak for his resolution and wanting to max things out.

He will only be hooking ~30fps which isn't that smooth for gameplay. If he wanted to max it out, once again I'd recommend something like a 6870 at least.

7750 is about equal with the 6770, which is a step up from the 6750 you have compared it with. It's definitely worth the extra money :)

So I was thinking of building myself a nice computer. I wanted some sort of estimate of how much it would cost to do so. I would like to be able to play games like Guild Wars 2 on max settings.

I already have a 650W power supply, an operating system, and a hard drive. I don't mind boot times too much, but if a new hard drive is necessary for gaming then you can add it to the list of things I need.

You could do it for probably like around $600 $800 or maybe even less.

EDIT: You could make this system. Its a tad over $800 but it would last you a long long time. This is keeping in mind that you have a Power Supply, operating system, and a hard drive.

That DVI plug on the box itself is some lower form of DVI which is batstuff handicapped.

Recently, whenever I'd quit L4D2 after playing for an hour or two (on medium-low,) I'd bluescreen with some form of "display driver timeout" and that it couldn't recover, and I'm believing it's due to overheating. I have never had these problems until I started playing L4D2 at medium video quality, and my card gets hotter when I do indeed play at medium than high, but my load times are 48+ seconds when I play on high.
my video card is driving me insane, looking at purchasing this when my parents can start purchasing online again

That's a pretty big card to jump to.  What do you currently have?
